Olmstead County, Minnesota Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Olmsted County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (OCHRA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from October 2, 2019, until October 8, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Residency Preference
  • The HRA will offer a preference to any family who are Olmsted County residents.
• Employment, Education, Elderly or Disabled
  • The HRA will offer a preference to families who work at least 20 hours/week or have been hired to work in Olmsted County; attend post-secondary education full-time in Olmsted County; or is elderly or disabled.
• Homeless
  • The HRA will offer a preference to families who are homeless

500 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
